What is Coins?

The official description says you earn coins every bout and open crates for furs, sumo gear, and emotes. It also says the codes RELEASE, NEWGAME, and CATS redeem for free coins. It does not print a per-bout amount, a win bonus, or a crate price. A gameplay video says knockouts pay coins. Code lists report 250 coins for most known strings and 150 for CATS. Those amounts are not in the description.
